After a very promising meeting held in Dublin with the FAI,and the PFAI the Don't X The Line Campaign may be also moving across Irish sea. Founder Malcolm Lee said he is was very excited about the meeting and it is very hopeful the campaign will be adopted in Dublin,so we can help grass roots football over there the same as we can in the uk by promoting Respect and Sportsmanship not only to the children but re educate the parents about this. For this campaign to work the support of our professional football clubs and companies is needed as well as the support of parents nationwide.
We can achieve this aim with your support and our hard work and efforts. You might have heard or read about recent incidents regarding our referees and some supporters. Our campaign is aimed at stopping this aggression, which not only affects the referees personally but also affects the children and parents in the immediate vicinity. No referees, no football - we need to support them!
If this campaign is started at grassroots level
it can only improve the game at senior level. Our aim is to involve every Junior Soccer League in the country in this campaign.
Win your team a sponsored kit
A chance to win you're team a sponsored kit, kindly donated by the Soccer Company. (thanks Jane and Staff)
We will be soon carrying out a survey around leagues, aimed at the parents, we will be asking questions about touchline behaviour and what they would like to see happen in our junior leagues, so if you are stopped by one of our volunteers from The Don't X The line team, could you please take 2 minutes of your time to answer the questions they are very simple, you will then be entered into our Free Draw, who knows your team maybe wearing a brand new kit sponsored by the soccer company .The draw will be done after the survey has been completed, and the winning team name will be put on our Website.
Thank you for taking part Good luck.
DO YOU HAVE FILM FOOTAGE OF PARENTS, COACHES, MANAGERS OR ADULTS BEHAVING BADLY AT YOUR CHILD’S FOOTBALL MATCH OR TRAINING SESSION?
GUBOG / DXTL have been approached by an independent television production company currently producing a documentary on children’s football and the real life stories of players, coaches, parents, officials and supporters. The Producers are currently compiling footage of video, digital cameras and mobiles to help illustrate the plight of children’s football.
The ultra-competitiveness that exists on the touch line of training grounds and match day pitches in junior/youth leagues is now cause for concern.
If you would like to submit any footage or stories no matter how ludicrous to be considered for the programme please contact the producer Ernie Brennan at ernie@capricornproductions.co.uk or log onto www.capricornproductions.co.uk for further information.
